sunday stash (on monday) #2

Yesterday felt like Saturday all day because we have guests in town and my weekend extends through today. Baseball games, surprise birthday parties, touring the Capitol, and some drama thrown in - it's been quite a weekend.  Needless to say, I forgot to do my Sunday stash yesterday.  So.  Here are some delicious goods that arrived in the mail a couple weeks ago.

 

This is all the Cicada Studio fabric I mentioned last post.  This photo above was taken immediately after taking out of the package.  And the photo below was taken last saturday morning as I cut, cut, cut for a new quilt.  Huckleberry slept at my feet and Sean slept downstairs and it was very quiet and I loved every minute of it.

sunday stash #1

I've always wanted to join in the sunday stash  and now I have enough fabric to start doing it.

 

For my first sunday stash.... These are some of my favorite fabrics from various lines.  I love small prints and, honestly, what's cuter than those little purple flies?  And the little birds? Many, many quilts to plan. 

I've gone a little overboard buying fabric on Etsy over the last few weeks.  I really should limit myself to how many times I visit (dare I say it) per day.  It's one of the best places to buy fabric because a) many of the sellers are crafters so they just know good fabric and b) the folks who sell vintage fabrics on Etsy put a whole world of beautiful fabrics at your fingertips - a selection you could never find in any one town, or at any single estate sale - and certainly not in a traditional fabric store. Plus, all the stores and sellers on Etsy seem sweet and human, especially compared to the wild west that is Ebay.

Some of my favorites are LemonBlooms and Magpie Mary.  I've got some on the way from both.  Ahhh, the anticipation of fabric in the mail on its way to me.
